The Google Android, Droid X, Incredible, and the Nexus One are amazing devices and need Android Parental Control. It has a slim form and “open source.” Since its source is open so to speak you would imagine that it has many applications and or Parental Control Software available. At this time it actually has a limited amount of Parental Applications. Actually more and more products are being release and we have the best here for you to choose from. We have listed a few below. But, if you know Google you probably realize that they do things their way and that business model certainly works for them. How can they hold out for much longer and not ratify or certify a Google Android app that is designed for Parental Controls?

They also sometimes eavesdropped on their kids when they were concerned or looked theough their daughter’s diary too. This is an updated version of parental involvement to match with the technological advances we have made. Now you might choose to argue that these are not necessarily advances but that is not the point of this issue. The facts are that the children will text, IM, SMS and even sometimes sext. If you are concerned about what your minor is doing with their life and your money then you might decide to check in on them. If you have 100% trust then good for you and best of luck.

Droid-X is awesome and I love Blackberry RIM for their great products. I will not convert to iPhone! Why would I? Droid does it all and now with parental control software like the ones here I can keep an eye on my Daughter and make sure she is safe online, texting and while using the droid-x!

The Motorola DROID continues to present new possibilities everyday. I’ve had it for about 10 months and I’ve had a Blackberry attached to my body because September 1998. Becoming connected is usually a crucial component of my lifestyle so I’m generally reachable by household and co-workers. I’m a bit addicted on the Market for DROID Applications. If the device had unlimited memory I would test the capacity. I believe this OS would be the way on the future and intend to grow with all of you to learn it by way of and via. Thanks to the article.
This is all good and fine, but it does not protect against user accessed content. I have yet to find an actual, usable filtering application for the Android Platform. There are options for the iOS platform, but alas… none for Android…

Is there software or an app that you can put on HTC EVO that will block non age appropriate websites for my 14 y/o daughter’s phone. I see that I can monitor activity but not block it so far.
Sure, with Mobile-Nanny (link on this page) you can block URLs. You could get a “whitelist” off the Internet and enter them into the “App/Web blocking feature. That would work for you, it might take some time.
Will Mobile Nanny work for the Huawei 750?? We have Metro PCD and I need an app to protect from BAD websites!
It is not in the compatibility list but only for Huawei u8230 not for the Huawei 750. You can always return it if it does not work, if you would like to try the Mobile-Nanny.
Why would you develop and app or buy anything from Huawei? They make knock off devices by steal the intellectual property of other manufacturers, just ask Cisco.
Hi. I want to get my son either a Motorola Droid X or a Motorola Droid 2. I have yet to discover an program that will enable me to see what he is doing on the web browser application. I heard some good reports about Mobile-Spy so I decided to check it out. On this website, I read something about a Mobile-Nanny software. I don’t have a clear grasp of what it’s purpose is. Do any of the programs above offer website blocking of inappropriate content? I saw a response about creating a “whitelist,” but I want it to automatically block it. Also, the block must work every time (I’ve heard there are easy workarounds on some programs where you can push your back button or use a bookmark to access it without it being blocked.
I would also like to monitor and see what websites were visited.
Oh, and can this type of program work on other browsers (like Dolphin)?

Yes, most of these will block inappropriate sites as well as let you see where they have been from a remote server. Most of these cell phone trackers and keyloggers are browser agnostic.

Would I be able to discreetly download it onto a phone without my child knowing? If they have a task killer will it show up I’m the list of currently running programs and end it?

You will be able to do that with the Android Keylogger that is Mobile Spy. They should NOT be able to see it or remove it without a special code sequence that only you will know.

Just wondered when the Parental Control software for tablets will be made available.
I want to give my son (13) a tablet for xmas but don’t want him to be able to access inappropriate websites. I know I can change the safesearch setting in google, but that doesn’t stop direct website navigation.

I got my daughter a Samsung tablet (the smaller one) and need to know if there are any available parental controls to monitor websites and videos that she is allowed to view. She likes to watch those kitten videos and stuff but I know how easy it is to stumble across the wrong part of You tube.
