Even though the kids were tough back then the nastiness was only verbal or on paper, which was bad enough. These days though, it is digitized, ones and zeros and permanent. Facebook does not through away their servers hard drives like a piece of notebook or Big Chief paper, like back in the day.

So now we and moreover our children are faced with the permanency of what they do or say online. They are subjected to what other kids do and say online as well. This can be many times more painful that what they have done on their own. Regardless of truth, that is not the issue. It is a concern of health and permanency, what will come of this once these words or notions are released into the world of backups where notebook paper is just a background theme on their personal twitter page?
